a.re ceramics is a one-woman studio, where every piece is made by me, from the very first idea to the final firing.

What may look like a simple vessel holds many hours, many steps, and a little bit of patience.

It starts with an idea — a sketch, a shape, a feeling.

Then comes the clay: wedged and prepared before it meets the wheel. From there, it is slowly shaped, finding its form through touch and movement.

Once thrown, the piece rests until it reaches its leather-hard stage. It is then trimmed and refined before being left to dry completely for about a week.

The first firing takes around 24 hours, giving the clay its strength and permanence. After firing, each piece is carefully sanded, glazed, and fired once more.

And finally, it becomes what it was always meant to be.

From idea to clay, from hands to wheel, from fire to finished form — every step is part of the piece.
